Honestly I sold my digital one because I only used to for weighing the model. It was just too hard to measure for the settings, im not adverse to technology I just find somethings I rather do the old fashion way.
Being a dealer for Xicoy I have sold their scales, and they are really nice with the angle meters. I think I used the angle meters most of all for setting up models.

Tom, I'm referring to the CG Wizard Pro. It also features a a Throw meter that will read out in degrees or actual travel amount.

A little update while I finish programming the radio, everything is in. I did have to add another V1 valve to actuate the lock valve on the gear. It still didn't work until I too the cylinders apart, cleaned and lubed them. It doesnt look look like the air cylinders are cleaned lubed prior to assembly, mine had small bits of paint chips and trash in them. Im mains feel like they need some lube as well so I plan to do that and even the bay door cylinders, they constantly stick in various ways.
I had to take out 10% of the weigh I had in the nose so thats cool at least. On last night weighing of the BB pack it .4 of a pound in the very tip of the nose, at 285 and nothing at 290mm
The original restrictor method may have worked if I knew the lock cylinder needed lube but now that its setup this way im just going to leave it.
Im pretty good with the Xicoy seq/failsafe but I go soo long between programming one I had to phone a friend to fix one issue so thats all working now.

I do have a question for the smart folks, my telemetry keeps connecting/disconnecting when the receiver is in the model but works normal once lift out. What kind of signal would cause disruption telemetry while receiver strength remains 100%? I do have a the PB GPS receiver below it for the Igyro and there is a bit of carbon fiber laid in the nose, any thoughts?

Finally got some good weather to run and taxi the jet, I checked for hit build up and I did feel anything much getting warm at all. The outer wall of both sides I was worried since the motors angle out and hit that area even that are didnt get to warm. Outside of the thrust vector didnt get hot once activated so that was nice, im sure over time it will change colors but with airflow inflight I think it will stay well below temps that can cause paint bubble. Steering is super sensitive it will literally turn on dime, so that will need to a lot of EXPO. Next step is to fly it, just not sure when or where that will be. Cheers

SO The issue I highlighted in the build about rudder slop is an issue that needs attention. Flutter will come and things never go well with flutter, so the recommendation from first hand experienced folks is not to fly until a fix is figured out. I spent some time getting the rudder servos set and I still think its too much play and not to mention even with the same amount of spacers to life the rudder servos I still have one thats lower. No Idea yet if the servo mount is lower than the other or the rudder shaft is short on one.
Cheers

Hi Fenderbean,
I'm in the final setup of my F22 before the maiden, but I have a major issue with interferences of RPM between the two Merlin 166TS.
And yet I have a Mu-metal plate between the 2 turbines, but it's not enough.
In my F18, with 2 Merlin 200, the Mu-metal plate was the solution, but it seems that the 166's are much more sensitive.
As you have exactly the same engines and same setup, did you encounter the same problem ?
Thank you.
Arnaud

Hi Arnaud, you need to rotate the engines so the motor RPM sensors are not pointing at the other motor. I discussed this with Gaspar and my test run showed no signs of cross talk. I will post the correct position once I can find that email.
to make it easier can you post a picture from the front of your engines please?

Left engine put the yellow connector at 11 o’clock position and on the right engine put the yellow connector at 5 o’clock position
