Junky design. There should be a bearing in there that centers the gear and prevents the one way clutch bearing from rubbing. If you want electric start, I would stick with the EZ Start system...

Frankly, anything Redcat is suspect in my book. I’d use a stock Traxxas Pullstart before I waste my money on Redcat junk.
