Default BajaHobby L39

I was just recently looking at this kit. https://bajahobbyusa.com/photo?olsPa...-colors-in-pnp
Apparently it was at BITW and did well. Does anyone have one or experience building it? Anything to watch out for?
Thanks,
Tone

My new Baja Hobby USA L-39 Albatros Bretling Jet flies very well on Horus X10S with RX8R and XM+, and R9MM for redundancy.
Jetcentral Lynx 130 turbine provides more than enough power for the big L-39 and AR Smoothflite V5 keeps it on rails!

I did indeed purchase one. However, I wanted a special color scheme so I opted to order one built instead. It should be here in 3 weeks or so. From the information I have gathered people really like it.

Do you have a link to other build threads or other information? I've seen the one by Lor on FB on the Baja Hobby FB page and it is impressive. Thanks!

I do not. Just information gathered from facebook, the add on Rcgroups, the Bajahobby website, videos on Youtube, and messaging Peter, Lior etc. If you contact Peter from Bajahobby he is very good at answering questions and has a quick response time.

There is not alot of info out on this model yet so I went straight to the source. I plan on doing a build thread when I get mine though. I have their Arowana sport jet and I like it alot. They did a good job and construction wise it reminds me of my T1 jets. Therefore, I would expect the L39 to be of similar quality.

Tone, thanks for the response. I have been in contact with Peter the past few days and am considering options. It is good to hear there are some flying and being enjoyed. Decisions. decisions...

Good deal. I am looking forward to trying it out. Unfortunately, it looks like delivery is going to be delayed due to the virus situation.

Lior, Thanks for the response. What is the ready to fly weight (with and without fuel) of your plane? Also, do you have a gyro on board? Lastly, how many flights do you have on the jet now and any issues with the landing gear system? Thanks again.

2. yes I'm using a AR Smoothflite system - can not recommend it enough!
3. i have 5 flights on the jet ad its winter time here. but i have many models with JP gears and they are very sturdy!

i gurantee you will not be disappointed!

Lior, thanks for that information. What is the on board fuel capacity? Are you using the servos provided by Baja Hobby?

According to Peter, it comes with a 3l main tank and a 1.5l smoke tank. However, I was told that if you did not want to run smoke they could be run together for a total of 4.5l of fuel. Peter also informed me that there is plenty of room to add an additional smoke tank on top the the originals if you want to go that route.

Lol, I ordered the same scheme, except I asked to have my clear coated and the bottom of the fuse yellow also. I like the shiny look better and it may help a bit with orientation in a blue sky. Just need to wait for the quarantine to lift and then the slow boat.

Tone, That's a good idea adding the yellow bottom. I thought I'd fly it and if I fell I can add more color if needed. I ordered one from Peter's current inventory. Delivery to be in early March via Greyhound to Milwaukee. I'll be sure to post pics of the unboxing,

I think he meant the dualsky servo's that already come with the pnp. I think they are Dualsky DS8950's. Not Peter's servo's that you installed Lior.
