RE: For those who love World War Two Fighters

Hi Phil,

Alan and I will be at Tibenham waiting for the rain to relent!! Never believe weather forecasters.....they are pilots mortal enemies and should never be trusted. An RAF Met. man was...

RE: For those who love World War Two Fighters

Hi Phil,

Thanks again for a great day at Colt last weekend. Not so good for my poor old Typhoon (engine overheating problems again) but still good fun. We got home about 11.30.

To the poor...

RE: For those who love World War Two Fighters

The B-17 and Lancaster are ready and bombed up! The Tigercat (now EP) and the Typhoon may make the trip too.

We were really worried last night about the weather as the only forecasts we could...

RE: For those who love World War Two Fighters

Hi Phil,

The positioning of aerials in 2.4G gear is not as hyper-critical as you would think. It is actually only the exposed last few cms of wire that does the receiving, the rest is just to...

RE: For those who love World War Two Fighters

Hey Phil, don't ever say 'a real pilot could go lower than that 'cos he would and they're not his models! I really want to avoid putting another coat of paint back on after it got scraped off. He...

RE: For those who love World War Two Fighters

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the great day on Friday. As usual the flying and company was great. All informal and totally fun! The 260m round trip is always worth it and I hope there will be many more.

RE: For those who love World War Two Fighters

Hi Dibble,

Is that Typhoon yours? If not, why not!!!!!

A little birdie told me it had flown.

Great pics as usual. Much better than many in the mags.

RE: For those who love World War Two Fighters

Those Typhoon pics are not much good on a phone! Get them on here so we can all have a look! There can never be too many Tyhoons (but then I'm biased!). More Tempests would be acceptable also.

RE: For those who love World War Two Fighters

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the great day out on Sunday. As usual, the format was excellent and the atmosphere great.

For some strange reason Colt is fast becoming Thunderbolt heaven, there were...

RE: For those who love World War Two Fighters

Hi guys,

I'm looking forward to Sunday as well. If your gear is modern and gets a frequency check say every couple of years or so there should be no problem on adjacent channels. The CE...

RE: For those who love World War Two Fighters

Hi Graham,

Is it yours? I'd love to get hold of some more details!! If it's not yours, can you put me in touch with the owner/builder? It looks like a fabulous model.

Must be big with those...

RE: For those who love World War Two Fighters

Hi Phil,

If the wings swing on a Hawker Tornado I'll be going way too fast!!!

RE: For those who love World War Two Fighters

Hi Phil,

The Tempest had a longer nose due to the big fuel tank behind the engine. Forward of that it looks pretty similar. It depends where the cowling finishes, but I guess being too long is...

RE: For those who love World War Two Fighters

Hi Phil,

More Typhoons, can't be bad!

Please remember that Brian Taylor has a plan for one at about 75" plus all the cowl and canopy parts for it. You might need to be quick though as I...

RE: For those who love World War Two Fighters

Hi Phil,

The Lanc is about 30% done. One wing is built and just requires the inner nacelle to be completed. The fuselage is about 50% there but needs some detail work doing and the sheeting...
