Best bet would be to lower the tank as much as possible. This had to be done on my Dave Patrick Super Cub with a O.S. 160 twin mounted in it.

RE: New Hangar 9 1/4 Scale P 18 Super Cub

GP, I see in the pic's of your SC, that you installed vortex generators on the top leading edge of your wings. Where did you get them, or how did you make them? Sorry if I overlooked it somewhere....

RE: New Hangar 9 1/4 Scale P 18 Super Cub

Thanks for the help on the screw sizes guys. I was going to glue it, and just use a few of the screws for looks. Have not decided yet, as I don't want to make it look bad.

RE: New Hangar 9 1/4 Scale P 18 Super Cub

Do some research. EVERY PA-18 that came off the Piper line, beginning with the 1978 model had metal flaps and ailerons. No after-market, its straight from Piper. That's very common knowledge with...

RE: New Hangar 9 1/4 Scale P 18 Super Cub

I do not think this airframe will require any tail weight with that setup. The only way I see this airframe needing tail weight is if someone tried to mount a G62 or something crazy like that. The...

RE: New Hangar 9 1/4 Scale P 18 Super Cub

Hey Jeepindog, I just test fit my OS 1.60 twin in the cowl for you, and it's a perfect fit. No cutting, and plenty of room on each side of the rocker covers. So, the Magnum/ASP 1.60 will fit exactly...

RE: New Hangar 9 1/4 Scale P 18 Super Cub

1.20 4-Stroke going in mine. I couldn't bring myself to put a gas engine in this airframe if I was made to. Nothing worse than a nice scale model on a flyby sounding like a Stihl chainsaw. I will...
