RE: Larger Revolver

Haha, so you can fly them right till they die during flight Ken! :D

I was mostly just joking around Microdon... :) I did get the Aurora 9 for Christmas though, and yes it does send back your...

RE: Larger Revolver

Or just run a Hitec Aurora 9 radio system, and it'll send back your battery voltages via telemetry automatically out of the box. :) My wife gave me one for Christmas by the way! :D

RE: Larger Revolver

We run Fromeco Wolverine dual failsafe battshare switches on our giant scale planes for dual redundant a123 RX setups. Works amazing. Very high quality and completely trouble/worry free due to...

RE: Larger Revolver

Haha, correction. I'm using the QUALITY PowerHD 9150's on my 30% Edge that have been proven for several years. I agree with wjcalhoun on their failure rates. While the 120's are great servos, their...

RE: Larger Revolver

Slats, it's too bad I beat ya in the IMAC competition this weekend. Maybe you shoulda flown the revolver like I told you not to! LOL, j/k. :) You flew very well and I can't wait for us to start...

RE: Larger Revolver

Oh okay, that's why you feel your SS is slower. I'm turning another 1050-1400 rpm and 2 more inches of pitch (aka 31mph slower than my SS/OS55ax @ 14,200rpm on 10x8). That's a massive difference.

RE: Larger Revolver

What rpm were you turning the 10x6? Mine was okay to balance but did have to add 1.5oz of lead to the tail. Was an amazing plane for those 300 flights. Was always my go-to plane simply due to the...

RE: Larger Revolver

I'm the "buddy" with the fast SS 40 MKII. 110mph flatline OS 55ax w/ pipe @ 14,200rpm on a 10x8APC. Likely 130mph easy in a dive. Got over 300 flights on her! Crashed last week on a deadstick out of...

RE: Larger Revolver

They peak at 3.6V/cell but as soon as a cell sees ANY load, it sits a constant 3.3V/cell. That means 7.2V peaked on the charger, 6.6V in your plane, so for all intensive purposes, anyone talking...

RE: Larger Revolver

Sorry, yes should have clarified. On the packs that I built with Dean connections, I push the full 10amps through them. On the JR connectors on my smaller planes, I use 3.5amps. They're rated at...

RE: Larger Revolver

For sure! Ya, it just made sense for me. No sense to keep buying NiMh/NiCd packs for $$$ as I have the charging capabilities for a123 already, and since I build all my own packs, it makes it a really...

RE: Larger Revolver

Agreed! :D

Slats and I both use A123's in all our planes. I build my own 1100 a123 packs for $11.75each including EVERYTHING, even the heat shrink. You cant go wrong with LiFe technology. I...

RE: Larger Revolver

Edge looks good Pryor. I flew mine again tonight with a new Xoar 23x8. Spinning it at 6700 (22x8 was 7200) but it's so humid from all the rain the past week that I couldn't even see into my canopy!...

RE: Larger Revolver

Ya just reduce the throw on your radio. That's what I did. I already have the the horns on the surface out like 1.25 inches and with 1 1/4" arms I still get 50* of throws! lol. I only had to reduce...

RE: Larger Revolver

Nice dude. You have the same 30% Edge 540T that I do. I think there's 4 of us now with the plane! :D How's yours running?

Ya I agree with you guys that's its not much of a jump, but like I said...

RE: Larger Revolver

I do see what you're saying on the 43cc. Trouble is, I just want something to run on DLE-30 or similar sized engine. Not a big fan of most of the 43+- engines. If they build it as a 43cc everyone's...

RE: Larger Revolver

Guys, just use their "Suggest our next airplane!" link on the website. That's the BEST way you can convey the want for a Revolver on gas. And just to let you know, this works! A number of us last...

RE: Larger Revolver

I don't seal my hinge gaps as the benefit is very small (but does depend on speed and flight manouvers), plus I'm anal with making all my planes have a 1/16" gap at most. However, here's a quick tip:...

RE: Larger Revolver

Quick question as I'm confused about this! My good buddy was flying his 70" Revolver for a few weeks with a Saito 1.00 (friggen light engine) and his came out nose heavy on stock gear!!! He had to...
