RE: Larger Revolver

I fly most of the flight on low rates with very good response. I have an OS 95V four stroke in the R70 which gives good performance.

RE: Larger Revolver

The one thing we all seem to agree on is that the R70 is a good looking and great flying airplane!:D

RE: Larger Revolver

+1 I have built at least 100 kit or scratch planes in the last 60 years and correcting things like a tilted anti-rotation pin I do not consider a big deal. I consider the R70 one of the best designed...

RE: Larger Revolver

What I found on my second R70 was that the holes were drilled fine but on one wing the rotation pin was tilted such that it would not go in the hole in the fuselage. I had to file the end of the pin...

RE: Larger Revolver

Thinking out loud: I have had about 10 ARFs from Great Planes and Top Flite. All were ordered directly from Tower which is the on-line retail operaterion for Hobbico. TF and GP are also Hobbico...

RE: Larger Revolver

Not being into gas engines,:D I vote for the OS 95 V four stroke. Great performance with good verticle capability.

RE: Larger Revolver

Use a prop reamer as others have suggested. I had the same problem and just a touch of the reamer fixed the problem.

RE: Larger Revolver

Are you talking about the 95 AX two stroke or the 95V four stroke? I have the 95V installed in my Revolver and it does not require any mods to the firewall. Also I would be very surprised if the 95...

RE: Larger Revolver

Time for my two cents!:D The Revolver 70 is not designed to be a 3D plane, a competion aerobatic plane, or a racing machine. It is designed to be a high performance SPORT plane. It has a sleek design...

RE: Larger Revolver

I had a Magnum 91 four stoke in the first Revolver and an OS 95V four stroke in the current one. The Magnum flew the plane well but the OS provides much more power.

RE: Larger Revolver

On my two Revolver 70s I have not had any pitch sensitivity to speed. It holds the same elevator trim at all speeds. You may have a little less down thrust built into the firewall or with your larger...

RE: Larger Revolver

If by power available you mean total ah (amp-hours) you are correct but if you mean power to drive the servos and provide current to the receiver you are wrong. A 4.8 volt battery will provide less...

RE: Larger Revolver

I would go with the six volt battery for more torque. Seven ounces will not make much difference on the Revolver and may make balancing the plane easier.

RE: Larger Revolver

It is not a matter of flying it scale. It is rather whether you like to fly on the wing or the engine. I like seeing a plane flying on the wing - using the wing to fly and maneuver. You guys like to...

RE: Larger Revolver

One of my friends bought a Revolver 70 because he liked mine. Then he went and put an electric motor in it, arrg!:( I will say that it flew very nicely:D

RE: Larger Revolver

mach2, my first Revolver had a Magnum 91 four stroke in it which is less power than the OS 75 AX. It flew very well with that Magnum and I would bet the OS 75 will give it good power and that the...

Do a Google search on "10-32 thumb screw" and you will come up with many different sources.

RE: Larger Revolver

Based on the Revolver 70s looks and flight performance two of the guys I fly with have bought them. One went electric and both are quite happy with them.

Luchnia, I would have to agree with you. :D It is the best built of all of the ARFs I have had. I have been flying RC for 39 years and it ranks right up at the top of all of the planes I have had in...

RE: Larger Revolver

Well, the maiden went very well. The performance was great. Only one click on aileron and rudder trims and two on elevator trim were required. Verticle performance was good. It is great to have a...
