The L/G plate is right behind the firewall bulkhead, adding the aluminum sheet connects it to the firewall face elliminating the lever moment of the gear bending back and tearing out the L/G plate

Use a Prop Reamer, alternating from front & back sides untill the hole is opened up to fit your engine shaft.

twist the aileron in the oposite direction & re-shrink the covering to take out the warp, covering iron, heat gun, or even regular clothes iron will work.....all you aspiring r/c pilots out there...

Lg. Revolver Guy's, are the horiz. stab & rudder sheated foam cores? Asking because I'm thinking of going with hinge points but don't like to use them unless enough structure is present for the barb...

I have no problem with hinge points, the concern is applying them to stock ARF structure. After you taper the pilot hole for the hinge "head" on a 3/8" leading/trailing edge, your lucky to have 5/32"...

ifly, That is exactly my point, I don't understand why hinge points are so strongly recommended when most ARF's are not capable of accepting them without stripping covering and adding more wood!
