RE: Larger Revolver

Flew my second Rev-7- with the DLE-20 in it Saturday. I love this plane and combo. The DLE-20 has all the power one would want and with a Xoar 17x6 prop it is fast with unlimited verticle. I did...

RE: Larger Revolver

I have both ASP engines you ask about. They are both great engines and I have never had a dead stick. The ASP 108a is like a tractor engine. spins a 15x8 & 16x6 prop very well but not a high rpm...

RE: Larger Revolver

I'm not using the DLE-20 for speed I just like this little gas engine and the Rev-70 is a perfect airframe for it. I fly arounf mostly at half thottle but I do open up the throttle when going...

RE: Larger Revolver

I am still going to use the DLE-20 I had in my first Rev-70. It flew so well on a APC 17x6 prop that I will set the second one up just like the first one. O that tree that I hit with my first...

RE: Larger Revolver

Jeremy,

Both planes look real good. I would go with the TroyBuilt Extra. It has more wing area and weighs the same as the AeroWorks Extra. That translates ninto a lighter wing loading which...

RE: Larger Revolver

Your OS 70 should be plenty of power for your Pheoixe 330s. My 330s has a 63" wing span and I had a Magnum 108a in it. It was a little over kill but really flew nice. I am changing it out to a ASP...

RE: Larger Revolver

I use Omega 10% myself and it is $22 a gallon here in Memphis. [:'(] I still run a couple of glow engines but it if goes up much more I think I'll only fly my gassers:D.

Jeremy,

RE: Larger Revolver

I totally agree with you on the DLE gasser's. Right now they are my favorite engine. But I have other engines I must use because they two are good engines like the ASP S91A. I am going to start my...

RE: Larger Revolver

The ASP S91A is a good strong engine and will give you some speed for sure, but if you reallywant to go fast put that DLE-20 in it and put a 15x10 prop on it and hang on. I saw a video on youe tube...

RE: Larger Revolver

I just bought a ASP-91. They are the same as a Magnum engine and I have 2 of them and they are great running engines once broken in. The carbs are a little touchy but once set they perform like...

RE: Larger Revolver

I have a ST-G60 that spins a 13x6 pretty well. It is on an old GP 4 star 60. That ST-g75 should spin a 13x6 even better so I would start with thatand go from there. I have seen a video of a guy...

RE: Larger Revolver

Most of use here are using the DLE-20 gasser in this plane. Got any video of you flying the Rev 70 with the OS-95AX in it? We'd like to see how well it performs with that big glow engine in it:D

RE: Larger Revolver

Jeremy,

Was the dead stick caused because it my have been to lean? I was flying my Revolver 70 with a APC 17x6 prop and it pulled very strong and I will use another 17x6 on my new Revolver that...

Jeremy,
