Nice flying!!! On landing, I could see no flaps and she looked to be coming in hot. Did you decide not to use flaps? Or did you not have them at all? Great video!

Make it such that when at rest on wheels , it has a slightly negative incidence concerning the wing. That should prevent the bouncy-bounce.

To me down thrust is any thrust that causes the plane's nose to pitch downward. So for a tractor prop, that is the engine pointed downwards. For a pusher turbine with a rear engine (like a falcon)...

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet

I think that an aileron clevis failure would not do this. The aileron would simply weather vane and cause a slight trim change: noticeable but nothing you could not easily overcome. That is unless...

As Frank Tiano once said to me so very eloquently: "that looks like ten pounds of sh_t stuffed in a five pound bag"!!!!

WOW!

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet

Even if the clunk does not move forward, it will be OK. If not using a hopper tank (UAT) like Mike, you will want it to move to the front when required. If it cannot go to the front, the fuel...

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet

JetCatJimmy is basically correct. But instead of calling it up thrust or down thrust, let's just say turbine pointed up or down (turbine front). If the turbine is well behind the CG and the...

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet

Upwards for a brief period of time, then flop over and hit the ground due to lack of stability! [8D]

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet

Well, sure. A lot depends on geometry, moment arms, etc. But that was the reason for the down thrust on the Bobcat and the Kingcat. But it would affect this Falcon design too, perhaps more or less...

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet

For most of these airframes, the model would go no where. Just sit on the ground, as the thrust to weight ratio is < 1.0 ;)

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet

But that is not why it is there. The issue is that the high velocity turbine exhaust causes the air flowing under the horizontal stab to be faster than the air going over it. Bernoulli's effect...

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet

Does this "aircraft sealant" remain very flexible, like Goop? The one complaint I had with Seal-All was it gets way too rigid. That causes cracking adjacent to the sealed area as the tank flexes.

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet

Can anyone confirm absolutely that Automotive Goop is kero compatible? I mean for sure? Cause I know regular Goop is most definitely NOT.
