13 inches or 33 cm back from the leading edge is perfect.</p>

The nose doesn't drop in turns and it is still very predictable.</p>

Booker,

Mine is pretty basic.
Turbine is a SimJet Sonic 8000 @ 17lbs of Thrust
Retracts are Robart 710RS
Struts are Robart 652 Offsets - 2 rights and 1 left
Wheels & Brakes are from...

Had my first flameout on my Falcon.

made it back to the runway old school carrier style.
I was still turning into the wind as I touched down.

Without any residual thrust it sure slows...

That's unreal.
I've been inching mine closer to the max and haven't had any troubles yet.
Perhaps they aren't as flimsy as some would like you to beleive.

I'm running a 17.5 lb Simjet in mine and the only thing I did was epoxy around the retract area.
Beyond that mine is absolutely stock.

Not sure why your having the issue you are. Mine is set up on a Y-harness from the rudders with nothing more than 50% expo.

Mine slows down pretty well at 45deg. which is the most throw I can get.
But I'm going to cut them off and rework them to get more just because I can. :)
