They have or had 2 different 40cc twins, one had standard CM-6 plugs, the other one had the smaller 1/4x32 plugs. The smaller plugs fit within the cowl w/o any cutting.

O-rings is nearly as problematic as rubber...

O-rings is nearly as problematic as rubber brands. Thin shock cord or a set of shocks from PR Bushweels are the two permanent solutions.

The SC will do a loop if you drop the flaps with any speed and no elevator compensation.

You need down elevator with flaps, how much will need some tinkering to find out.
