To the two guys that lost their Flashes, I lost mine a week or so back so I feel your pain.... It was a mid-air between myself and my flying buddy...he lost his Ultra Flash too! Was a very expensive...

I use crow on my ultra, works great....she is so clean without it I'm not sure how you get it slowed down...maybe if your operating off a grass strip....

Expect some work to fit the wing and stab, it is not a drop fit....not even close! I hope yours goes easier than mine did....

On a side note, everyone raves about how great the Ultra flys over...

This is what I would do (and I am doing...)

Using a 1221 RX, SmartFly EQ10, and 2 A123 batteries you can do the following:

Ch 1: Throttle
Ch 2: Right Aileron
Ch 3: Right...

I have a huge vinyl sticker on my vertical stab/rudder. I cut it on the hinge line on the open side, did not do anything on the hinge side. Works perfect and has not come up yet and I am at 312...

IMO, it's better to sell your classic and buy a new ultra. Let the factory fit the wing and stab. You will have it fit perfectly and not tear your hair out in the process. You figure it's two grand...

You should have three carbon dowels and three sockets. The dowel should fit the socket. On my conversion, I used the factory machined holes in the wing and stab for the carbon dowels and relocated...

You will most likely have to relocate your sockets for both the wing and stab, the tubes are fr that purpose....total PITA BTW...

I found the same thing, had to completely rework my stab attach bolt holes. The front pin had to be re-worked as well. The wing bolt holes lined up perfectly and the only the left side is a little...

I think the "Iceland" scheme is one of the best color schemes I have seen yet....if I ever have to replace my T-Birds Flash ( knock on wood...) I would get that scheme for sure!
