Don, sorry to hear that you lost your Hurricane They are great flying planes. I sold mine not long ago and have regretted it ever since.

Fellow flyers, I understand that Tower also has a warehouse out west, where temps are much hotter, so that may explain why the wrinkle problems are appearing. I to, have had some wrinkle problems...

Wrap the elevator control rods with a few turns of copper wire before soldering for extra strength.

You can get by with just peeling away the covering at the tailwheel mount area and soaking the balsa with thin CA to harden it. I did that and used the Sullivan tailwheel and have not had any...

Yeah, I started to do the same as you, but I opted for the side exhaust, hoping I would get less "slime" on the fuse. Turned out, that it probably didn't matter.

OH, QUESTION!!!! where did you guys get your spinner nut that goes on the prop shaft of the DLE20 and has the right threads to fit the skinny front spinner bolt? THANKS!!! Im having a hard time...

On most of my planes I use a "threshold" approach when landing. That meaning, once I reach this point I cut my throttle completly to idle, but on the Rev 70 I cannot do this as it will fly right past...

Use "spoilerons" instead of flaps. The best way to slow it down is to start throttling back on your downwind approach ... just be sure that you don't make your crosswind and final to long though.

I am one that has had no problems with CA hinges. If installed properly and you correct your vibration problems, then you will likely not have any hinge problems either, BUT, to each his own in...

To each his own, but in no way would I (personally) ever trust JB weld. Especailly on a gasser where there is subject to vibration.
