Have you checked with Dave Brown? They do custom spinners if a stock spinner won't work and they do have a 5" X 5" spinner.

when it comes in I’ll post photos outling the cowling. Here’s stock photo, the lines/shape look much closer.

Jose at Fliteskin Aeroscale sent me an email, they carry a 5” aluminum spinner as well, it’s the same spinner they use on their DH-103 hornet and sea hornet.
So I’ve got options! I’ll check out how the Dave Brown looks and make a decision. I’ll also see if Jose can send me some photos of just the spinner.
This is best one I can find of it on their site. Lines look good but I’d like to get a closer look.

The attached link shows the spinners for the DH-103 that are not attached to the engine which may assist you in deciding which spinner to purchase.

Takashi Matsui, as I wrote you on PM , no problem with the size of the canopy !
Before to cut the canopy you have to cover the fuselage with balsa. Before to cut you have to think did you make somewhere mistae and then to cut and write that all is wrong !
This model we produce from several years , only you find mistakes in the canopy..........

I just got home after a few busy weeks at work, my Dave Brown spinner arrived, however I think I’m going to return it and go with Fliteskin’s. The length and width are correct but it doesn’t have the scale shape I’m looking for. It necks down too much toward the tip where as the mkix had a bit more of a bulbous shaped nose toward the tip of the cone.

Rumen’s plans are spot on as to this particular spinner.(Potter type) There were a few alternate spinner nose caps they used on the mkix, Rumen’s plans used a recessed cap version or potter from I can tell.

I’m going to go with Fliteskin Aeroscale’s spinner, it’s the correct size and most importantly to me it’s the correct shape. Jose at Fliteskin is great to work with and will drill and tap it for the securing screws. I haven’t had a lot of time to build as of late but will fire up the build again shortly.

Hi everyone ! your post is very interesting, i also build a fokkerc spitfire, a 1/4 scale Mk XIV. It's been over a year since I started it, but I work a lot, so not too much time for the spit. I put you some pictures!
