Did they ever actually have a tank to tank battle in WWI? I'm pretty sure they were only used in support of infantry and the WWI tanks never really faced each other the way they did in WWII, but I could be wrong. If there was ever a tank to tank battle in WWI I'll bet that would make an interesting read.

On April 24, 1918, the first tank vs. tank battle occurred at Villers Bretonneux. Three British tanks went up against two A7Vs. Two of the British tanks were driven off by fire from the A7Vs. One A7V was destroyed when it overturned on a steep bank, and it was considered a tank kill.

I'm sure some WWI tank battles are coming soon... just like we saw some modern tanks on the IR battle field in Canada with Deans video.

Nice work Chris!

Nice one Chris. Just one problem - when are you going to do a British Mk IV to provide some opposition?

As long as it's on the list - cool.
Had thought Tamiya might do a 1/16th Mk IV, having done the 1/35th motorised version.
Last year was the 100th anniversary of Cambrai, which would have been the ideal time promotion wise - but they missed the bus.

Man, WWI tanks battling? Ok, you start over there and I'll start here. Text me when we start firing, I got paint to watch dry. Awesome tanks, just not sure the best for battling fun. They'd just get crushed with the speeds of WWII or modern era tanks. Guess you could do an entire day of only WWI tanks and get 1 battle in.
