Hi all
I started mine. The first problem was that the marking for the flap servo hatch was off so I cut through and it was right over the former. Finally with a lot of hassle I took it off. Did you face the same issue ?

Hi Greg
Could you please let me know how you glued the horns in the airlons and the flaps. There is not any filled spots so i wonder how you secured them in. I would appreciate your feedback.
Thank you.

Yes. Which one are the horns and how are they installed? The Airlon ones are clear how to do but I don't have any idea how the flap ones go.
thank you.
thank you.

Sad that no one replied. From the date of your messages it looks that you asking two months now.
I dont own the Tomahawk F-86 but here are some tips.
Generally in a hollow surface , i use scrap foam , or pieces of sponge to stuff and create a smaller space but bigger than the hole.
I try to sand gently the bottom i see thru the hole and if possible the walls around and under the hole.
I fill it with hysol and place the horn.
The best thing is to upload for us some photos of the flap it self .
-Photo of your hardwear you have.
-Top view photo (underwing) of the flap in the wing in open and in closed position.
-Top view photo (uperwing) of the flap in the wing in open and in closed position.
-Not close up photos so we can get an idea.
Even better idea to contact Tomahawk .Im sure they will forward you some building photos [email protected]

Hi Guys, a friend called me today to say that a couple of these have crashed because of the elevator failure. I don't know if it is the truth or not and he didn't know where or when. Have any of you heard anything? He was indicating that the cure is balancing the stab which does not make sense.

I know that Mike lost his because of an apparent elevator failure, but the last time I talked to him, I believe he thought that it was electronics related, not any type of structural or aerodynamic issue.

Hi Bob
the Tomahawk F86 has flying stabs and same set-up as Skygate Hawk used to have. Two servos to a rod to stab. It has dummy elevators but they are glued on with fake hinges and are not operational.
Thanks, Behzad

As I said, I believe that Mike (f106jax) attributes his crash to electronics failure, but you might check with him (assuming he doesn't see your post and respond on this thread).
