Default Foam Sheeting 1/8 & 3/16 sources?

Howdy,

Depron is not in my creed at the moment unfortunately. Which foam sheeting type (XPS, EPP, etc.) 1/8" & 3/16" thicknesses & 20x30" / comparable size are you getting satisfactory to outstanding results with & where are you getting it? For example, how have your results been with the Dollar Tree, Michaels, Joann, Office Max/Depot & Hobby Lobby sheets, home improvement or building supply stores, for example, or from other or online sources? You usually get what you pay for, but what's yielding good, great or outstanding results these days for your foam sheet builds & is readily available? I'm not cutting foam. I need 20x30'ish sheets in 1/8 & 3/16 thickness. TIA for your replies! Name: wink.gif

1/16” thick medium density is more than sufficient.

At the moment, I'm having good results with XPS foam sheets, especially from home improvement stores like Home Depot or Lowe's. They typically come in 1/8" and 3/16" thicknesses and are available in sizes around 20x30 inches. These sheets offer a good balance between cost and performance. Alternatively, online sources like Amazon or specialized hobby stores might also offer similar options. While I haven't personally tried Dollar Tree, Michaels, Joann, or Hobby Lobby sheets for this purpose, some hobbyists have reported satisfactory results with them as well.
