I built one in the worst way. It flew the worst way too. Build it the best way. Then it will fly the best way too. This is the paint for my latest build project.

In my Glow fuel airplanes, I use Futaba receivers and Servos. In my electric airplanes I use Spectrum Receivers and spectrum servos.

Unfortunately this is how the full size DVII no. 5 ended up. I hope mine fares better. I think I see trim tabs on the elevators. Interesting.

Default Nose weight for Morane A1

For anyone who has built the 1/3 scale Morane Saulnier A1, what total nose weight of engine and ballast was required to balance? I have a 6 lb Zenoah G-62 to use and wondered how much more lead will be required.
Thanks

Just some update on the building:
Accessories at the wings center
Fuse view
2 x 470g lead ballast already melted
cockpit pilot protection
since the wings are spited I decided to make a fixture to keep upper and down wings together for transport and assembling at the fuse. It worked fine.

Some accessories still missing (machine guns, handles, ....)

Engine already tested and adjusted, OK!
I hope to make maiden flight on wednesday.

Cross fingers!

Outstanding craftsmanship. She will fly just as well. Could you take a couple of photos of the pilot area? Thanks. Chic

Mario, well done, and nice flight. I really like your weather as compared to mine. 18 inches of snow Tuesday. Oh well. That makes the decision of build or fly an easy choice. I have been working on the dummy motor for the DVII. Not a lot of detail for the motor, as this is an everyday flyer, and the KISS rule keeps it from being a year long build. I also changed the color pattern. I saw this aircraft and it was the one I stared painting. All of my aircraft have yellow on them. Its easy for old eyes to see. Keep the faith, flying season (for some of us) is on its way.

Hi Jeff, Nice work with the dummy engine!

yes, the weather yesterday was fantastic, just a light breeze, aligned with the runway, could not be better for the first flight!

We are at high summer season, normally it rains at late afternoon, however yesterday no rain, and after sun,we did a barbecue + beer meeting. Really, was a nice day.

Enjoy assembling your new model!

Just checking to see if anyone has a construction manual that they don't need or could scan and email it, for a EAA Bipe. I have the kit and plans, but no manual.
Thanks

You can buy a new manual direct from Balsa USA for $6.00 plus shipping. Go to their website and look for the plans/manual tab. They are a good company and will take care of you.
